Getting started

PocketDJ starts with an empty library — you bring your own music. Add a source in Settings ▸ Sources (audio you've digitized or imported yourself), or connect Apple Music for playback and search through your own subscription.

Apple Music

Playing full-length tracks through Apple Music requires an active Apple Music subscription on your device. Without one, PocketDJ still manages your own imported audio, playlists, and mixes.

Mix, Studio, and offline playback

The Mix decks and offline playback work with songs downloaded to your device. Pick a collection and PocketDJ downloads what it needs; a progress bar shows what's left. Studio recordings and mixes stay on your device unless you export them.

Import server (optional)

Some features can connect to your own self-hosted import server (Settings ▸ Import server). This is optional — the app is fully usable without it. If a connected feature reports an error, check the server URL and token in Settings.

Your data

Your library and settings live on your device (and in your own private iCloud database when sync is on). To remove everything from a device: Settings ▸ Storage to delete downloaded audio, and Settings ▸ Reset to clear settings. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what's stored where.
